Haverfordwest is the county town and the main shopping centre in Pembrokeshire.
The High St and Riverside area have a number of shops, cafes and pubs, while there are large department stores on the Fishguard Rd.
The ruins of Haverfordwest Castle, dating from about 1120, stands high above the town and the county museum is in the grounds. The Augustinian Priory lies next to the Western Cleddau at the south end.
